Warrior WomenWith the new Wonder Woman movie out – it has had me thinking a lot about the strong, warrior women that I have met throughout my life. These women are part of the of the warrior tribe – women that have faced many big and small battles in their own lifetime. These warrior women that always go at life with the same attitude - “I’ll figure it out”.
I’m talking about the warrior women that push past their exhaustion every day to put a smile on their face for their kids, no matter what. The warrior women that figure out how to unclog the sink, toilet or vacuum with whatever they have available – plus maybe a little YouTube as well. The warrior women that figure out how to put dinner on the table. The warrior women that have gone through battles of loss, tragedy and heartbreak, but still pick themselves up to keep pushing forward. I bow down to them as a fellow warrior woman. It may not always have been easy or pretty – maybe they might have fallen on their faces a few times (or multiple times), but one thing is certain. They have always gotten back up. For a true warrior women – there is no other option. There is no such thing as staying down in the dirt and submitting – they have too much fight in them – too much fire in their bellies – too much to say and do to sit down and be quite. Now don’t get me wrong – these women only seem like superheroes. They have the same doubts, fears, and obstacles as anyone else and they are just regular people, just like you and me. We are all warriors in one way or another. We can all get stuck and beaten down by the battles that are handed to us in our lives, but staying down there is a choice. Once you realize and accept that and remember your warrior strength – you become unstoppable. Life hands you the battles that you need to teach you the lessons for you to become the strong warrior that you are. Not to push you down, but for you to rise up. Reach out for help – that’s what the warrior tribe is for – to help lift you up in times when you need it the most. To remind you of how strong you are and to inspire you to keep going, to keep chasing those big dreams. To remind you that you have unstoppable strength. You never know what you chasing your dream might mean to someone else. That others are looking at you like you are a warrior women and saying to themselves “If she can do it, so can I”. Your dreams are given to you for a reason – because you are the only one that can bring them to life the way they were meant to. So, remind yourself of your warrior strength the next time you feel like you want to crumble to the floor to take up residence there. You don’t belong there – you are a strong warrior woman. Your warrior story is amazing – use it to fuel the fire in your belly and show others that ANYTHING is POSSIBLE. If… you believe.
