I’m Just a Regular Person That Decided
I find that a lot of other coaches put themselves on a pedestal like they have everything all figured out all the time. Let me just tell you – that is NOT me. I find that people try to put me on a pedestal, thinking that they could never do what I have done. Wait a minute gurrrrrllll – have I overcome some pretty serious shit – YES. Is this something that no one else could do? Well – technically NO – you have your own battles.
HOWEEVVVAAAAA (sassy finger swipe) – YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU KNOW. Battles suck – let’s just be honest. You can decide to let the battles consume you or stand strong like the warrior that you are. I’ve gone through my share of battles – just like everyone else. I’m not special because I found a way to make it through those battles. I'm not special because I lost over 60lbs. I’m not special because I coach people on how to get through the toughest times in their lives. I’m not special because I help people transform their lives into something they never thought was possible.
I’m a girl that moved all over the country, had huge self-doubt and daddy issues. I’m the girl that was always the overweight one in the group that could turn any food into something waaaaay fattening. I’m the girl that used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. I’m the girl that literally told people that if I could – I would survive on French bread and ranch dressing (seriously – I LOVE ranch dressing). I’m the mom that sometimes struggles to handle 2 kids and there are days that I’m just glad that I made it through the day (seriously, moms of more than 2 kids – I don’t know how you do it). I’m just a regular person – not any more special than anyone else. Except I finally decided.
I’m special because I finally decided to be me – all of me. I decided to strive to be the best version of me every day. To constantly grow and choose to do the things that scare me. I decided that I was going to answer the calling that I had always had inside of me to help others. I decided to step up as a leader and mentor others by teaching them all the things I learned in my own battles, to help get them through their own. This is so engrained into who I was born to be as a person and my life purpose that it feels like pure bliss. It always has. I finally decided that enough was enough – and I wasn’t going to hide who I am anymore.
You are so special just for being you too. You have such inner strength to rise inside of you – you just have to decide. To be you. To be the best version of yourself that you want to be. To believe in yourself. To grow. To only compare yourself with you. Striving to be a little bit better than the you of yesterday.
Is it always comfortable being yourself – the version of you that takes action and does the things that they love even if they are scary? NOPE. Get really comfortable with being uncomfortable. I am a born introvert so to get in front of a camera and speak is SUPER uncomfortable. Why do I do it? To help serve the maximum number of people that I can while I am on this earth so they can live a life they love too. So they can be themselves and be the best version of themselves in the best version of their life.
I’m also funny, silly and majorly messy – but that’s me. All of me. I have a completely random taste in music from Hanson to Michael Buble to Tech N9ne (and of course the Trolls soundtrack – mom life). I am a wife and I love my amazing husband that accepts me as I am. I’m a mom that totally loves my incredible kids and I strive to set an example of being brave and being yourself every day. Oh and I love ranch dressing (did I mention that already). I write like I speak and I don’t do anything I don’t want to (yup I can be pretty stubborn).
I have always loved helping people and I can see the beauty in every soul that I meet. I get a rush from watching people succeed in achieving their goals. I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, mentor, life coach, author and speaker. I’m just a regular person that decided to be me.
I see your true colors, that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors are beautiful
Life is What You Choose
