Find Your Tribe
Throughout my life, I have turned to others to seek advice both during battles and just during life itself. Turning to mentors and loved ones to ask advice on how to make it through each situation. I call these people my warrior tribe – I found my tribe by seeking the advice of these amazing mentors to help me through some really tough times. Times when you feel like you can’t see any light, let alone the light at the end of the tunnel.
Sometimes, you can find yourself afraid to ask for help when you are going through a crappy battle. You might feel embarrassed or think you should be able to figure it out alone. Let me tell you, there is nothing STRONGER than a person that asks for help when they need it. It’s ok to ask for help and admit that you can’t do it alone. Seek the advice of people that are going to help boost you up and guide you through your battles and your life.
I feel that the people in your tribe are given to you because they are meant to change you and teach you. The tribe of people that you have around you can either be uplifting or Debbie downers. You choose. I choose to seek out and be open to amazing, uplifting people to join my tribe. My warrior tribe of people that cheer me up at the times when I need it the most.
I have amazing tribe members that I have a very personal relationship with, like my husband, my kids and close friends or family. However, I also have tribe members that are all my subscribers and people who follow me online, my morning coffee girls or the woman at my favorite vegan shake place that makes me smile. Each tribe member gives me inspiration, whether that’s to encourage me to keep going when I feel like giving up sometimes, giving me an idea for a new blog or making me feel special at my local spots.
These tribe members are wonderful and encouraging in their own individual ways, as individual as they are. But each one gives me something significant that keeps me going after the dream life that I choose to chase. A life filled with a passion for coaching and inspiring other warrior tribe members through some of the biggest changes and challenges of their lives.
You can find your warrior tribe of amazing people that uplift you – they are everywhere. They are your spouse, your kids, your best friend, the person that gives you the best advice or even the local friendly barista. These inspirational people are out there – you can seek them out by being open to building an awesome warrior tribe of your own.
Life hands you battles to go through, so having your warrior tribe is an essential to help you get through them. I wouldn’t have made it through most of my battles without my warrior tribe. That’s how important they are – because they are the ones encouraging me to keep my head up and keep going just when I need it the most.
You choose what tribe you build to be there when your battles come. You can have an amazing warrior tribe that guides you and encourages you through the battle. Or a tribe of Debbie downers that are either absent when you are going through a battle or they help you keep yourself stuck. Stuck in fear, self-sabotage and resistance.
I know the strong warrior tribe that I have collected through the years, was given to me because they each can teach me something different. Anywhere from sometimes harsh, but good advice or even just a compliment from the teacher at my son’s school that teaches me to feel beautiful.
Your warrior tribe members uplift and teach you lessons throughout not only your battles, but your best times as well. When you find them, hold on to them tight because they are such an extraordinary gift. Shout out to all my awesome warrior tribe members – you uplift and inspire me every day. I am so grateful for you – thank you.
