Attitude of Gratitude
If you are in the US at this time, you know that Thanksgiving Day is tomorrow and usually around this time of year everyone becomes so thankful for everything they have. Doing those daily Facebook posts about what you are thankful for and urging others to do the same. Followed by a day of trampling each other for the sake of a sale. REALLY??!!
When you start changing your mindset so you can start manifesting ANYTHING that you want (yes, I see the eye roll, but I am fucking serious – ANYTHING) you have to start with an attitude of gratitude – EVERY DAY. You must start with the things you are grateful for NOW, not when you get the stuff that you think will make you happy and be grateful for it then. This starts with the practice of having an Attitude of Gratitude.
You can start this daily practice by making it become a habit that you do when you first wake up every day. It doesn’t take that long so unless you wake up and your house is on fire – you have a few seconds. I try the habit of opening my eyes in the morning and starting off with the obvious – I am grateful that I am alive and get to experience a new day. Many people take even THAT for granted – tomorrow is NEVER promised, so make the most out of the present. You can start off with the usual things that you are grateful for like having a roof over your head and food, but try to dig really deep and find at least 5 new things to be grateful for each day. This doesn’t have to be a lay in bed for 20 minutes – just a quick few minutes (if that).
If you can, try to say the things that you are grateful for out loud. The Universe LOVES gratitude – don’t you? I don’t know where in our culture it has somehow become normal to not have enough fucking manners to say thank you and express our gratitude. Trust me, the Universe does not like to be ignored with what you have been blessed with already. Even if you only have something small to be grateful (ex. You’re alive) that’s ok – start with the little things and you will start to see a shift of more things coming your way to be grateful for.
