The Internal Battle
This is the hardest battle that can creep up over and over again – the internal battle. For me, it has creeped up more times than I probably recognize throughout my lifetime. I’m talking about the internal battle of not feeling good enough. I find that for me this has stemmed all the way back to when my father left when I was 5 years old.
I have found that through recognizing my own issues of not feeling like I was ever enough – that most women with absent/uninvolved fathers have those same underlying battles and fears. We rage the war inside and become our own worst enemy by holding onto those feelings of not being enough.
What Would Life Look Like?
What would life look like if you went in 111%. If you allowed yourself to really dream and then give 111% of yourself to your dreams and live life every day. You are a strong warrior and are battle tested – what would life look like if you truly stepped into your own strength?
Would you have the life that you have now or would it look different? My guess is that it would look much different than what you see in your reality now. That’s a good thing – because wanting more and dreaming of more for your life is what you are meant to create and have.
You are Worthy
Maybe you haven’t heard this today. Or maybe you haven’t heard it in a while… or ever. You are WORTHY! You are an awesome warrior that has gone through so many battles and come out on the other side.
You have an inner strength inside of you that cannot be measured.
However, you may have forgotten how strong you are.
Just how amazing you are.
Just how truly worthy you are.
My Faded Warrior
As you may or may not know, I have moved around my whole life. I didn’t grow up around family and for me it was customary to see extended family about once a year. My mother and father divorced when I was 1 and when I was 5 years old, my father walked out of my life. However, his parents, aka – my grandma and grandpa – were a part of my life while I was growing up.
Throughout the many battles you have been through in your life, those battles have left behind scars. Scars to prove that you went through the battle - you got up, showed up & conquered.
Many warrior women try to hide their scars or pretend that the don't exist. ashamed or embarrassed - thinking those are the battles that shouldn't be talked about.
Your Warrior Story
Holy Bananas you guys! The new Wonder Woman movie is out today and because I am a busy mom/wife/coach/business owner – I rarely go to the movies unless it’s a cartoon (all moms out there you know that you feel me right now). So, out of curiosity because this is one movie that I’m trying to add to my self-care regimen this week, I was looking up the trailer to see if it would be appropriate to take my daughter. A little mommy/daughter movie night to see something that empowers women – yes please.
