Whenever something ever went wrong in my life - be it the car needed repair, someone needed to go to the doctor or dentist or something breaking in my house (noooo - not the dishwasher or microwave) it would send me into panic mode. OMG! REALLY?! How much is this going to cost?

The past week I have been working through some of my own blocks and have really been struggling. Those are the devils on my shoulder that I have had for my entire life – constantly telling me that I’m not good enough or that I’m not smart enough or that I don’t have my crap together all the time or that people won’t like me or they will think I’m crazy – or blah blah blah.

I wrote a piece last night that I was going to post this morning (that happens to be completely different than this) and went to bed, frustrated about having to filter pieces due to profanity rules (side note – you can’t say the f word on FaceBook that many times. haha oops).
As I was doing my journaling early this morning, I got hit with something inside so deep, raw and scary about myself that I knew I was meant to share with it with you. This is something so personal, but I wanted to share this with others that are struggling with depression and anxiety.
Stop Floating Around Life Waiting
I see you. Yes you. Wanting a change in life, but not really sure how to get unstuck from where you are at now. You think it’s going to take a long time, more money or super powers to achieve the change in life that you want. You are making up a million and one excuses for why you can’t….but guess what. I’m just like you – except I choose to stop floating around life and letting the excuses hold me back. I chose to go after a dream with all my heart, soul and fire inside of me. I chose to stand up like a warrior and help others find the warrior inside them as well. To help others stop floating around and change their lives. To make a difference. To someone. Anyone.

The mind is a VERY powerful machine and most of the time you are operating out of your subconscious mind (think of this as running on autopilot). Your brain has been programmed to be in survival mode since the beginning of time and continues to be in survival mode even though the dangers have since changed. Anytime you come into a room your brain will automatically scan for dangers that it perceives will cause any harm to the body.

HAPPY 2017 EVERYONE!!! I hope you rang in the new year with a bang and made some new goals for yourself to achieve in this new year and next chapter in your life.
I have seen online that some people are against making “New Year’s Resolutions” – I can understand why. You don’t want to set new resolutions for yourself because New Year’s Resolutions are notorious for being broken. Instead, I usually set GOALS for myself that I want to accomplish in the next 365 days. Things that I know that I want to be brought into my life and I have no idea HOW I’m going to achieve them; I just know these are things that excite me and that I want to do this year. If you make a goal that doesn’t excite you – make a new goal. You must emotionally connect with your goal or otherwise you won’t care enough to make it happen.
